Garima Kumar, M.S. 
Garima earned her M.S. degree in Chemistry with Honors from Punjab University in Chandigarh, India. She joined the UA Ph.D. program in 2010. Garima is currently combining bioinformatic and experimental techniques to investigate substrate specificity and enzyme function in the enzyme citramalate synthase from Methanococcus jannashii (MjCMS).

Siqi received her B.S. degree in Suzhou University, Jiangsu province, China. She joined the UA Ph.D. program in 2011. She is working on the dynamics of the enzyme glycosyltransferase by using hydrogen deuterium exchange mass spectrometry.

Wen earned a B.S. degree from Nankai University in China, and joined the graduate program at UA in Fall 2013. She is working on the enzyme isopropylmalate synthase from Methanococcus jannashii (MjIPMS). She likes playing basketball and swimming in her spare time.

DK did his undergraduate work at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. He joined UA's Ph.D. program in 2012. He is working on understanding the SUF pathway in iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster biosynthesis using amide hydrogen deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS).

Juliana Conte, B.S.
Born and raised on a family farm in Hampton, Ontario, Juliana joined UA's Ph.D. program in Fall 2014. She played varsity soccer and lacrosse throughout her undergraduate years at Catawba College in North Carolina, where she majored in Chemistry and minored in Biology. In her spare time, she likes to workout, play sports and spend time outdoors.

Danielle is a junior Chemical Engineering major from Maineville, Ohio. She is currently investigating substrate-protein interactions in the enzyme isopropylmalate synthase from Methanococcus jannashii (MjIPMS). In her spare time, she participates in philanthropy events with her sorority (Delta Zeta), and she loves to read.

Calvin is a sophomore undergraduate from Foley, AL. He is majoring in Chemistry and his research project focuses on the relationships between substrate selectivity in the enzymes isopropylmalate synthase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MtIPMS) and a pyruvate-specific class II aldolase, HpaI.
